Few days after its creation in May 2000, BNP Paribas unveiled its new emblem and signature to the general public on the occasion of the French Open (Roland- Garros). The taking flight symbol on a green background and the engaging promise “the bank for a changing world” are enthroned on the famous Parisian stadium banners at the end of the courts. Reflecting the Group’s ambitions and positioning, this strong visual identity is in line with almost two centuries of banking communication. From the pioneers of the 19th century to the present day, (re)discover the major stages that preceded the birth and influence of the BNP Paribas brand.
