BNP Paribas and History

As an active player and privileged witness to great historical changes in the world over the past two centuries, the BNP Paribas Group will have its own stand at the Historia Festival. Its Archives & History team will present a variety of its productions: website, publications, web series, Twitter account, blogs, documentary tweet, and more.

BNP Paribas has been sponsoring the Historia Prize since 2011. This year, it will be awarded at the Festival, on Saturday, 17 February at 2 pm.

The BNP Paribas stand will welcome the young founders of a cooperative dedicated to historical mediations

La Boîte à Histoire is a worker cooperative that aims to make history accessible to all. It organises “history experiences” in partnership with regional authorities, museums and private institutions, guided tours that go off the beaten track, and educational design workshops.

In the scope of its partnership with the University of Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), the BNP Paribas Group each year awards grants to help students to get started in the professional world. La Boîte à Histoire received one in 2017.
